SGPA stands for Semester Grade Point Average. It reflects your performance in a single semester and is calculated as the credit-weighted average of the grade points you earned in every subject that semester.

CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average. It is the credit-weighted average of the SGPAs of every semester you have completed so far. KIIT prints the CGPA on your semester grade card and on your final transcript.
How to Convert KIIT CGPA to Percentage
KIIT University uses the standard conversion formula recommended by AICTE. To convert your CGPA into an equivalent percentage, simply multiply by 10:

Tips to Improve Your KIIT CGPA
- Prioritise high-credit subjects. A 4-credit paper impacts your SGPA twice as much as a 2-credit one.
- Don't skip mid-sems. They usually account for 20–30 marks and are easier to score than end-sems.
- Attend labs sincerely. Continuous assessment in labs is where easy grade points hide.
- Clear backlogs early. An 'F' hurts your CGPA until you re-appear and replace it with a passing grade.
